Meet your artists that will make your dream tattoo a reality

Carrie Olson
Tattoo Artist and Owner
Carrie Olson is a tattoo artist, painter, muralist, and community organizer. Lifelong creative, she’s been illustrating since childhood and has never stopped. Originally from Baraboo, WI, Carrie served a tattoo apprenticeship after completing high school. Her training at Point Blank Tattoo, in the Wisconsin Dells, focused on mastering custom tattooing. Her teacher, a talented painter, encouraged her to approach her commissions as uniquely as possible, expressing her own artistic voice and vision. She later went on to continue her tattoo education at the one and only Steve’s Tattoo, in Madison, WI. There she continued to grow, learning about American Traditional (Old School Tattoos) and Japanese (Irezumi) tattoo styles under Steve Gold. Having moved to the Fox Valley to work at another of Steve’s locations, in 2012 she partnered with her now-husband, Steve Anderson, to open the 920 Tattoo Company, located in downtown Oshkosh, WI.
In April of 2026, after almost 13 magical years operating the 920 Tattoo Company, Steve and Carrie decided to follow their dreams and run away to the north woods. Now a full time resident of Ironwood, MI, Carrie looks forward to making tattoos at her new studio, Porkies Tattoo.
During her time in Oshkosh she served 8 years on the Downtown Oshkosh Business Improvement District board. As a member of that group, she worked to beautify downtown Oshkosh through the BID beautification committee. This committee worked to improve the appearance of Downtown Oshkosh in a number of ways; adding artwork to electrical boxes, murals, and helping plan the planting of planters and green spaces located downtown. Carrie has also helped to organize various events over the years through her committee work. She’s not done. She is hoping to continue her work here in Ironwood.
Her passion for art and beautifying her community inspired her to not only help organize mural projects but also paint some of her own. She completed 3 from 2023-2024, all 3 murals are located in Downtown Oshkosh. She loved the experience, and is looking forward to creating more murals in the future. Carrie is currently wrapping up appointments booked during her time at Iron Ink Tattoo.
Steve and Carrie will be taking some time to redecorate and get settled into their new space. She is currently accepting tattoo request to be booked after the Porkies Tattoo grand opening in October 2026.

Steven Anderson is a tattoo artist and entrepreneur, who recently lived and worked in the Fox Valley since 2007.
